I've challenged myself...

I've developed a love for photography and it's now time to take that love and expand further. I'm going to learn the ins and outs and if you care to, you are welcome to join me as I grow as a photographer and artist.

After having my first child and realizing just how much you invest into having photos taken and only partly loving them I decided once my second child was born that I would learn to do my own photos of them. This has went pretty well so far, although it's become quite expensive. Way to expensive for me to only barely be scrapping the top of the art I'm investing in. Sure, I was able to grab a few snapshots of my kids that didn't look completely amateur, but was that really worth the investment my husband was footing the bill for?

I have the camera a pro would use, I have the lights a pro would use, I have the equipment all around that a pro would use...so why am I NOT becoming a pro?!

Laziness. Pure and simple. I have, however, realized this. I'm challenging myself to learn all that I can and use it to not only make amazing photographs to track the lives of my children, but also to make an income at some point. I love being home with my children and my husband's career at this point allows for that, but I feel like that is a huge burden for him to carry alone.
