Day 6 of my 365

Posted by Emily

Ahh, Valentine's Day. I was given a great gift, atleast from a photographer/mother/wife's view! My dear husband is in the US Navy. He works very hard and well, when he gets home the last thing he wants to do is put that uniform back on...but tonight he did!

I love him.

Hopefully you can appreciate the beauty here, too =)

Day 4 of my 365

The lack of sleep is really starting to catch up with me, yet here I am again at 2:05 am and wide awake. When will this end??

Today's photo is of my beautiful daughter. My attempt at a wonderful chocolate toned photo. I love it and I hope you enjoy it as well =)

Day 3 of my 365

Today I spent time doing my other love, sewing. I've recently started learning to quilt and well, that's what you get a picture of today. It's not anything special, but it is a photo of something I love to do =)

And a little extra goodness. My little kiddo fell asleep at lunch time =)

Something more productive tomorrow, I promise =)
P.S. the frame is messed up, I know. I'll fix it tomorrow, bedtime now!

Day 2 of my 365

Posted by Emily

Day 2 of my 365 has proved to be a bit more difficult than day 1.

On day one, my subject, although a bit grumpy, did not move much.

Tis much more different today. I was attempting to get a nice little shot of my 3 kiddos (ages 4, 2 and 6 weeks) and well...I'm not ready for that!

So, today my photo is my oldest child, Anton. He's a firecracker, but in a different way than most. He's very hard to get eye contact with, but when you do you're in for a treat. Enjoy =)

Settings were:
Exposure: 0.013 sec (1/80)
Aperture: f/11.0
Focal Length: 70 mm
ISO Speed: 100

Another part of my job...

Is designing cards/layouts. I love doing this probably just as much as taking the photos. Here's a fun 5 x 7 layout I made today using brushes from Pixels & Ice Cream I'm not completely happy with the color scheme, but I think it's a good start!
